Miss B's Baby Blanket

My friend is having a baby girl! So I made her a girly blanket to curl up on, make a fort under, turn into a "boat" along which she can line up her stuffed animal passengers and save herself from hot lava....you know, the usual.

I'm in a stripes phase right now - can't get enough.

I can't wait to meet her!

What kind of machine do you have for quilting? I currently do not have a walking foot for for my machine and im afraid its too small to do anything much bigger than a baby quilt, but someday I would like to quilt at home and get rid of UFO's. any suggestions?

I have the Babylock Decorator's Choice, which isn't really a quilting machine, per se. But it did come with a walking foot and a darning foot (I think it's called?) for free-motion quilting. Mostly I just wrestle large piles of fabric and somehow it ends up looking the way I want. I certainly wouldn't consider myself an experienced machine quilters - there are several bloggers out there with more experience and great tutorials. I can point you in the right direction if you still need help.

By the way, the whole "B" family LOVES the quilt. It's so beautiful! I don't think we can thank you enough, but we will post pictures...

You rock!
